PRODUCTS DIRECTLY TO LEARNERS |
| |
| MAWS TOOLBOX, home based in Ashland, Oregon, offers
teachers, consultants, trainers and coaches tools and ideas to help
turn your lessons plans, coaching routines, and information
presentations into learning products and services you can sell directly
online. |
The products and services MAWS TOOLBOX recommends and
sells are focused on fast, free or very cheap Web 2.0 tools and
strategies that make it easy to create engaging interactions with online
learners.
Our vision is one of teachers and other subject matter
experts inventing a new public education. Education that happens 24-7,
whenever and wherever learners find themselves needing to learn
something. In other words, in public. And this new public is a place
where the quality of teachers and learners lives, productive inquiry,
and critical thinking have both the highest priority and the lowest
workable price. | |

| INTERVIEWS, TUTORIALS, AND LINKS TO RESOURCES FOR PEOPLE
WHO LOVE LEARNING IN PUBLIC |
| |
 |
After a lifetime of passionate, self-directed learning,
MAWS TOOLBOX founder, Meri Aaron Walker (MAW) sees little value in solo
teachers and groups of learners limiting their attention to the
accomplishment of individual goals inside conventional classrooms.
Experience has convinced her it takes at least a pair and often a much
bigger team to conduct a productive inquiry that ends up solving a
real-world problem. |
|
| |
|
|
Nevertheless, despite the
fact that we have evolved to a place where we may no longer need
schools, learners still need thinking partners! And people who love to
teach still need to do what makes them feel most alive teach! Maybe
more than ever. |
|
|
To support the evolution of ever more productive learning partnerships, MAWS TOOLBOX provides interviews, tutorials, and recommendations
of Web 2.0 tools and strategies that enhance quick, meaningful
engagement around relevant data.
We intend to attract people into dialogue here from every corner of
teaching, training, coaching and consulting. We want mawstoolbox.com
to be a place where a growing network of people who love learning in
public help each other manage independent teaching/learning businesses
and partner together for special ventures and mentoring. |
